Comments:

  • The Lions are now 1-3 in their last 4, beating only the offensively hapless Packers on Thanksgiving. The Bears (or the Packers, assuming Aaron Rodgers comes back next week) could easily win out, which means that the Lions could have no further margin of error to maintain control of the NFC North.

  • The Vikings have now lost 4 games this season on late 4th quarter scores (Week 1 @ bears, week 3 vs Browns, week 9 @ Cowboys, and week 14 @ Ravens).

  • The Cardinals are still in the playoff hunt but with the Seahawks and 49ers still left to play, it's gonna be tough for them to make it to 10 wins. The week 17 game vs. the 49ers could be for the final NFC wildcard spot.

  • The Colts haven't beat a team outside the AFC South since their week 7 victory over the Broncos. They're gonna have to hope they get paired up with a weak sister wildcard opponent if they don't want another one-and-done playoff season.

  • That's actually not looking very good for the Colts right now. The Bengals currently have the inside track for the #3 seed, and Sunday's results means the Colts are effectively 2 games behind with 3 to play. Which means they are very likely to play the Chiefs (the presumptive #5 seed) on wildcard weekend.

  • Another defensive breakdown on the road for the Cowboys. I suppose the good news is, it probably won't be three seasons in a row to enure another week 17 loss tha denies them a playoff berth.
