Comments:

  • Every team the Steelers have played so far won this week, and they take a well-deserved turn at #1.

  • Packers only drop one spot thanks in part to wins by Eagles, Lions, and Bears.

  • Conversely, the Redskins are hurt by losses of Cowboys, Texans, and Rams. They do gain a little power, but not enough to stay ahead of the Lions.

  • The Buccaneers have already matched their win total from last year. #12 may be a bit high for them, but they're clearly improved from last year.

  • The Chiefs take their first loss, but they're another team that's clearly better than last year. And until the Chargers show some ability to win road games, the Chiefs have to be counted as contenders for the AFC West.

  • Meanwhile, the Browns drop back down after another (relatively) close loss. If they had an actual quarterback...

  • Big movers: Giants (+15), Texans (-9), Lions (+8).
