Comments:
The Buccaneers sure looked a lot more like their record this week. Although the Bucs got a 4th quarter touchdown to make this a 6-point game, it never really felt close, as the the Bucs never really had an answer for the 49ers rather regular habit of scoring in this game.
It's not all rainbows and unicorns for the 49ers, though. They ended up settling for a lot of field goals, and that's something the league's better teams will be able to exploit.
The Lions have now lost 4 of their last 5, and as a result have lost control of the NFC North. And while the help they need might come, they also need to win their last two, and the way they've been playing, that's far from a sure thing.
The Bengals loss Sunday night cost them a chance to control the #2 seed in the AFC. But the Patriots could very well lose to the Ravens next week (who are favored by the early line), which would give the Bengals a second chance at clinching a bye week.
The Packers and Falcons both increase in power on their respective wins, but not enough to stay ahead of the surging Vikings and Bills.
