Comments

  • APR would've moved the Colts into first place this week if they had won my 6 or more points. Of their 10 wins, 6 have come by 4 points or less.

  • The Titans are knocking on the door of the top 10. With their seeming return to last year's dominating form, it's hard to disagree.

  • The Broncos should probably be ranked a lot lower as long as Kyle Orton is hurt. But APR doesn't take into account injuries, and that 6-0 start is still on the books.

  • The Jets and Jaguars move up the list in spite of losing power, thanks to big drops by the Panthers and Falcons.

Teams ESPN likes more than APR:

Packers (+9)
How do you figure the Packers? In the first half, they absolutely dominated the 49ers. In the second half, they were outscored 21-7. Losing Al Harris and Aaron Kampman was part of that, but it doesn't explain the lack of offensive production.

Teams APR likes more than ESPN:

Titans (-8)
Yeah, they started a very miserable 0-6, but that's starting to seem like a long time ago. With Vince Young playing as well as he ever has, and a rejuvinated defense, they are playing back at a very high level.

Texans (-8)
The Texans are a frustratingly inconsistent team. They're now 2-4 in games decided by 7 points or less, including the last two losses. If they're going to get to the playoffs, they need to consistently win the close games.
