Comments:

  • The Eagles are easily the highest ranked team with a losing record. But there's still a lot of teams between them and a playoff spot. And with losses to teams like the Bills and Cardinals, I'm not sure I'd call any game a "likely win" for them.

  • The Dolphins are another team making noise about "running the table" and getting into the playoffs. My rule of thumb is that once it gets to be Thanksgiving, any team more than a couple wins out of the playoff race is done. Right now, the Colts are still the only AFC team with a worse record than the Dolphins.

  • The Chiefs looked really bad Monday night. Especially without Matt Cassel, they may not win another game this season.

  • And the Giants lose another game they really should've won. It will be interesting to see how far down ESPN moves them in the power rankings.

  • In the Bills 5 wins, their defense generated a total of 16 turnovers. In their 5 losses, their defense generated 4. Not coincidentally, the Bills scored 31+ points in 4 of their first 5 games. They didn't score 31 points total in their last 3.
