NFL Week 6 Pick Results

2009 Navigation Links

Pick results for week 6.

Unanimous picks (8-3)

Correctly picked:

Titans @ Patriots
Rams @ Jaguars
Giants @ Saints
Lions @ Packers
Panthers @ Buccaneers
Browns @ Steelers
Bears @ Falcons
Ravens @ Vikings

Not so much:

Eagles @ Raiders
I noted last year that some times the Eagles' offense goes into hibernation. They now join the Chiefs as the only teams not to score at least 23 points on the Raiders this season.

Bills @ Jets
How bad is the Bills offense that they could barely score 16 ponts, even with the help of 6 interceptions from their defense?

Texans @ Bengals
More hot-and-cold from the Texans: they played a solid game, and took advantage of the Bengals' mistakes. The Bengals, on the other hand, have a bad habit playing down to the level of their opponents (c.f. the week 4 game at Cleveland).

Split Picks (APR 2-1, SRS 3-0, Line 0-3)

Broncos (APR, SRS) @ Chargers (Line)
Like I said in the picks, the Broncos are clearly better than they were last year. Maybe Kyle Orton still has a melt-down coming, but the Chargers aren't the team to make it happen.

Chiefs (SRS) @ Redskins (APR, Line)
The real question is, how did the Redskins ever get two wins? They join the Raiders as the only teams that haven's scored at least 26 points on the Chiefs this season.

Cardinals (APR, SRS) @ Seahawks (Line)
Now we know: even with Hasselbeck playing, the Seahawks aren't very good: they had just one drive go more than 32 yards, and didn't convert on 3rd down all day.

Standings:

This Week Overall%
APR 10-449-2566.2%
SRS 11-350-2467.6%
Line  8-660-3066.7%
Unanimous 8-338-1473.1%
